Unlimited Google Drive storage for students

Google limits their normal users to 15 gigabytes of drives storage. This, however, is sometimes not enough when you use Google Drive for backup. Google Drive offers unlimited storage for students with an education email (.edu / .ac) account. And who says no when you can get unlimited for free? I’ve been using Google on my student account for well over three years now and currently I’m using about 70gb to back up my important stuff. in this post, I will show you how to step up your storage plan using your student email account.

Note: This might not work with your college or university institution.

Note: Although I have not tested it, this might also work for personnel with an education email account.

Let’s get started!!

Method

  1. First you need to check whether you can sign in with your student email account via the google Email platform. If you can use your email with Google, you are good to go.
  2. Download and install Backup and Sync from Google. You can choose from any of the platforms, Windows / Mac, Android or iOS.
  3. After installation follow the onscreen steps and sign in using your student email account.
  4. You are set! Enjoy your unlimited Google Drive storage!

I hope that you enjoy this post. And let me know if this worked for you in the comments below.
