At InstaBiz (Pty) Ltd, we simplify the process of registering your private company (Pty Ltd) in South Africa. Our comprehensive service ensures that you can focus on your business while we handle the complexities of registration and setup. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Choose Your Registration Plan

We offer three tailored registration plans to meet your specific needs:
  • Starter PlanIdeal for entrepreneurs who are on a budget. Includes all the basics.
  • Mover PlanIncludes everything in the Starter Plan plus a few more benefits.
  • Shaker PlanThe full package with the most benefits. Perfect for the entrepreneur who wants it all.

Step 2: Gather Required Documentation

To register your company, we need the following documents:
  • Power of Attorney - This document authorizes us to act on your behalf for company registration and obtaining necessary accounts.
  • Certified Personal ID - Each director must provide a certified copy of their ID. South African directors should include both sides of their smart ID card.
  • Proof of Address - Each director must provide a recent proof of address (e.g., utility bill), not older than 3 months.
  • Shareholder Information - We require details for each shareholder, including: Full names, Addresses, Contact information and Percentage of shares owned

Step 3: Submit Your Application

Once you have gathered all the necessary documentation, we will assist you in completing and submitting your application to the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC). This includes:
  • Conducting a name reservation to ensure your desired company name is available (provide 4 names).
  • Completing the online registration forms on the CIPC platform.
  • Uploading all required documents as specified by CIPC.
  • You will receive SMSes/Emails from CIPC asking you to confirm certain information.

Step 4: Bank Account Setup

After your company is registered, we will assist you in opening a business bank account. This process typically requires:
  • Your company registration documents.
  • Proof of business address.
  • Personal identification documents for all directors.
  • We use Capitec Bank to create your business banking account because they offer great service with low fees.

Step 5: Business Phone Number

All plans come with a business phone number, but you may cancel this after 30 days if you prefer.
  • We set up a dedicated line for your business communications.
  • You receive R20 free credit to test the system.
  • You can set up additional extensions for people in your company
  • You can make internal calls to individuals in your company
  • You can setup a personalised welcome message and menu. E.g. Press 1 for sales, 2 for Accounts and so on.

Step 6: Logo and Business Cards

Company branding is important which is why we also offer:
  • Custom Logo - We design a custom logo for your company in your company colours and send you the files.
  • Business Card Design - we design your business cards for you and provide you with a PDF document.
  • Depending on the plan you choose you will also receive some printed business cards.
  • Using the PDF document we send you, you can get your business cards printed anytime by a printer or printing service.

Step 7: Company Email

Every company registered through us gets a registered company domain and one or more email addresses*
  • Depending on the plan you select, you will have one or more company email addresses
  • You can access and use your company email from anywhere on any device
  • You can forward your email to another address if you prefer
  • There is a small annual fee for your domain name
  • There is a small monthly fee for your email address(es)

Step 8: Company Website

Every company registered through us gets a company website*
  • Depending on the plan you select, you will have a website with one or more pages
  • If you selected the Starter plan, the webpage is included (no additional monthly fee).
  • If you select the Mover or Shaker Plan you will pay a monthly fee for web hosting.
  • The Shaker Plan includes the ability to accept online payments from your customers.
  • You will have access to your website Control Panel (you can manage it yourself).
  • We use WordPress for all websites and customise it for your business (no off-the-shelf templates).

Step 9: Final Confirmation

At this stage you should check and confirm everything:
  • You should have all of your company registration documents.
  • You should have your company phone number and management details
  • You should have your email addresses and access details. (Check they are working)
  • You should have a company web page or website (for websites, check your access information).
  • You will receive your Business Card template in PDF format.
  • You will receive your company logo in JPG, PNG and PDF format.

Step 10: Start Doing Business!

Congratulations! You are now a legally registered, fully operational South African company! You can officially operate as a registered private company in South Africa with everything you need to operate and succeeds as a business!
